Fran Garcia

Fran García, whose full name is Francisco José García Torres, was born on August 14, 1999, in Bolaños de Calatrava, Ciudad Real, Spain. He is a left-back currently playing for Real Madrid C.F.

His football career began in his hometown, where he played for the local team, Bolaños, until 2013. That year, he joined the Real Madrid youth academy, progressing through various youth teams, including Cadete B, Cadete A, Juvenil C, Juvenil A, and eventually Real Madrid Castilla, where he made his debut in 2018.

In September 2020, he was loaned to Rayo Vallecano, where he helped the team get promoted to La Liga and became a key starter in the left-back position. Over his time at Rayo Vallecano, he played 72 matches in La Liga, gaining recognition for his solid defensive skills and ability to contribute to attacks.

In the 2022-2023 season, he was the player with the most minutes played for Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, totaling 3,408 minutes. In June 2023, Real Madrid activated his buy-back clause and brought him back to the first team.

Since returning to Real Madrid, Fran García has been called up to the Spanish national team for the UEFA Nations League and has made notable contributions as a left-back for his club.

Known for his ball recovery skills, speed, and attacking runs, Fran García was the player with the most progressive ball carries in La Liga during his time at Rayo Vallecano. He also ranked third for the most crosses into the box and scored two goals while providing three assists in the 2022-2023 season.
